Fitness for BDSM pets!
Being fit is not only beneficial to your overall health, but have you tried being a kitten or puppy for hours? Being on all fours, getting into all sorts of cute and playful positions, chasing balls, playing with toys and sliding and gliding against your Dominant's legs or eagerly bouncing up and down? Having good core strength is really beneficial!
For lengthy intense plays, you could add in extra comforts like knee protections and wrist or hand protections. Even just some long thick socks to protect your knees. But it is likely to be your muscles that will feel it the next day.
So what can pups and kitties do to get yourself in tip top shape for some fun pet play? Exercise! Building up your cardio with long walks (on or off a leash!), running on a treadmill and just generally being active will help you be able to play for longer. Yoga and pilates are amazing for building your core strength, increasing your flexibility, improving your posture and general well-being, and many yoga poses can be incorporated into your submissive positions like the 'happy cat' position. You can do your workout as a kitten or pupper! You could even go further and grow your skills in parkour if you want to truly feel like a graceful lithe kitten. Or puppies might like to practice some sprints so you can get to the toys your Master throws for you as quick as possible to bring them back for more!
Another benefit to fitness for pet players is helping you build self-confidence within yourself and being proud of your body for your Owner. No-one and no body is perfect but if you work hard and feel good about yourself, you will shine from the inside and feel like the prettiest kitten and cutest pup.
Pet play is a great workout in itself, but make it even better by improving your fitness levels. With a bonus of being less sore the next day (although that maybe not be a benefit for the masochist pets) so you are ready to play again straight away!
